Here at QZAP we've been super busy getting ready for the Queer Zine Art + Film Show that's coming up on July 2nd in Milwaukee. We had a couple of little tidbits that we wanted to add to our previous post. The first is that this event is being co-sponsored by the Milwaukee LGBT Film and Video Festival!!! We're very grateful to them for all the support that they've given us over the years, and are thrilled to be collaborating with them for this exciting night of art and film. If you're in the Milwaukee/Madison/Chicago triangle, or hanging out across Lake Michigan at the USSF, please consider making a trip to Milwaukee that Friday... it's gonna be A-Maze-Ing!
To that end, we've also gotten the list of films from Kate Huh and a short description of the goodness to come:
Kate Huh, zinester, filmmaker and film curator presents the screening "Paper to Light- Queer Zinesters Making Movies". This program spotlights work by queer filmmakers who have also created zines (not always related to the films, but sometimes.) Culled from the vast body of DIY queer culture we come together to enjoy the range of expression that exists within our community. Zines by the filmmakers will be on hand to look at before and after the screening, which will then be donated to the QZAP archive.

We had hoped to get this issue of QZAP:meta done for the Queer Zine Art Show that we put on at the beginning of July, but alas, it was not to be. The nice thing about making zines, though, is that we're not beholden to anyone... so an August 1 publication date is just as good!
