"Queer Music Heritage" is both a radio show and a website by J.D. Doyle, and the goal of both is to preserve and share the music of our culture. Started in January of 2000, it has become the resource on the net for the history of GLBT music. Each month's page gives the playlist and additional pages of info, and you can stream or download every show.

SOUL PONIES provides a home for wayward queercore and riot grrrl recordings that would otherwise be lost to time. All music featured on SOUL PONIES is out of print, so please don't give us grief for trying to promote artists we love.

Think Pink Radio started in September 2003 as Chicago’s only all-music radio show for the queer community on WLUW 88.7 fm. A radio show that focuses on music made by the queer community is rare, and we were so lucky to be able to do it in such a cool city. The show went off the air in August 2008 to concentrate on an online presence.
This site is dedicated to Chicago, its queer community, and promoting happenings that are outside of the mainstream. The letter GLBTQ and DIY is the focus, and we always seek out those who love this world and want to be themselves in it.

Since the inception of The Rotten Fruits in 2001, This Chicago based band has been steadily building a reputation as one of the more original and outlandish live bands in underground punk. With songs that like to push the envelope and make the Christian right cringe, The Rotten Fruits have proven not to be just another passing annoyance, and with a brand spankin new rhythm section pushing the tempos they are preparing to record what should be a scorcher of full length album. And in case ya hadn't heard, their Shows are notorious for their unplanned all out chaos and on stage debauchery.
They have released several songs on different compilation CD's and have their first well received 7" EP "Abomination" on Criminal IQ Records. The "Abomination" EP either has people jumping with joy, or pulling their hair out in disgust. Either way The Rotten Fruits are pleased. Besides their recorded history, TRF has toured the midwest more than a few times supporting great acts such as The Briefs, Clit 45, Two Man Advantage, Thee Trash Brats, Texas Terri Bomb, Lynne Breedlove, The Queers, The Feelers, The Functional Blackouts, The Phantom Limbs, 7 Shot Screamers, The Midnight Creeps, The Street Brats...just to name a few.
The Rotten Fruits just want to have fun. Sure there are messages to their songs, but nothing is taken that seriously, everything is very tongue in cheek. Their goal basically is to have fun, piss people off, and look good doing it. TRF are funny, queer and totally out of control!
